A small unit of park guards protects just 1% of Argentina’s land but 52% of its biodiversity. Over the course of 2023, I was embedded with their team to document the unit’s anti-poaching efforts, and the wildlife they seek to protect.

And now, with a new President who wants to privatize public land, the team’s tireless work could be just the beginning of a much bigger battle.
